Making a positive difference
to the lives of people with Autism

The Autism Association of Western Australia is dedicated to serving the needs and interests of people with Autism and their families. We do so by providing services based on peer reviewed research in the field of Autism; and by providing support that makes a positive difference to the lives of people with Autism.

Our Mission

To advance the personal development, equality of opportunity and community participation of people with Autism

Autism Association’s Midland services hub officially opens!

The official opening of the Autism Association’s new service centre in Midland took place recently with a gathering of enthusiastic family members and representatives of various disability services.

“This is a place where anyone can come to find out more about Autism or about services and where local families can come to meet our staff and each other” said Joan McKenna Kerr, Chief Executive Officer.

The new centre provides a range of services including Early Intervention for newly diagnosed children, School Age Support and after-school programs. In addition the centre also links adults with Autism to a wide range of services including Community Living, Post-School Options and Employment Support.

Apps for Autism

Introducing our new Autism Apps website!

This website has been developed in response to the many parents, teachers and individuals who have approached us asking for ideas about how to effectively use technology, specifically an iPad or tablet device to support the individual with Autism.
