The Autism Association of WA is the lead agency association providing the Autism Advisor Program in Western Australia.  The Autism Advisor Program is an early intervention component of the Commonwealth Government Helping Children with Autism package.

How can we help?

Autism Advisors can help by:

Autism Advisors will support all families and carers of children who meet the eligibility criteria, including those from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and those located in regional and remote areas of Western Australia.

The Autism Advisor Program in Western Australia is made up of three Autism Advisors and a Program Coordinator. All the Advisors are located in Perth and provide services to families and carers state-wide.

Where do you start?

Following diagnosis, or at anytime during the assessment process, families and carers may contact an Autism Advisor.  An application to access the early intervention funding can only take place once the necessary documentation is available. Access to an Autism Advisor is free.

For further information about the Program see Frequently Asked Questions or; contact the Association on (08) 9489 8900 or 1800 636 427 (country callers only).
