Individual Accommodation Support
The Autism Association provides support to individuals who are able to live semi-independently in the community. This support is tailored according to the needs of the individual and can range from a few hours each week up to sixty hours per week.
Who is Eligible?
Adults who have a formal and recognised diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder who have been granted Accommodation Support Funding (ASF) by the Disability Services Commission.

People who:
- are independent in self care
- are verbal
- can transport themselves independently
- can use the telephone
- can manage a household budget with some support
- have a high degree of independence in the area of medication
- live in their own home
Services provided
- Assistance and training in maintaining a household budget
- Assistance in maintaining the cleanliness of their home
- Training in cooking skills, where required
- Assistance in organising home repairs and maintenance
- Training in social skills and to be part of the community involvement, for example, through recreation.
- Support for attending medical appointments
- Advocacy
