An Overview
Dr Barry Prizant is a world renowned academic and practitioner in the field of Autism with more than 40 years experience as a clinician, a consultant, researcher and program consultant.
Dr Prizant has received many honours in his career, including the Princeton University-Eden Foundation fellowship award for career contributions in developing services for persons with Autism (2005); Fellowship in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association; and the Massachusetts Speech-Language-Hearing Association Clinical Achievement Award (on two occasions). He is a co-author/editor of the book Autism Spectrum Disorders: A Transactional Developmental Perspective (2000), and has published
numerous articles on wide-ranging aspects of Autism.

Participants Will Learn
Participants of this two-day workshop will learn practical, respectful and innovative ways to best support individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. This will include enhancing the individual’s ability to learn in a wide range of settings; creating the conditions for inclusion; improving everyday participation; as well as understanding and preventing “problem behaviours”. . This important Masterclass will further explore ways to design inclusive learning environments and strategies to enhance social participation in education and daily living at home, and in the community.

Fees include morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
Students: Must be full time student & provide photocopy of student card with registration.
Members: Must be up to date financial members of the Autism Association of Western Australia.
