Behaviour is how we act and react to everyday environments and situations. We all engage in behaviour that challenges others at times, its part of being a person. In some cases though, people develop behaviours that persist, interfering with their day-to-day experiences, affecting their relationships and impacting their quality of life. A positive and pro-active approach considers the reasons for the person’s behaviour so that we can work out how to help make things better for them.

Integrating the information we receive from our senses helps us to understand the world around us. Sensory processing is what makes it possible to use the sensory input we receive from our body and surroundings in a functional way. When a person has trouble processing sensory information, it means that they organise and respond to the information that comes through their senses in different and sometimes unusual ways.
Join us for an interactive session that will open your eyes to the sensory world we live in, to help you gain insight into how the teen or young adult in your life may be perceiving things differently.
