Community Support Worker
The Autism Association of Western Australia is one of Australia’s largest Autism specific service providers.
The Association provides services to individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families from
early intervention programs, family support through to employment services, community options, residential and
respite services and independent living options.
The Children’s Respite Service provides weekend and school holiday breaks for children and adolescents with
Autism from 6-18 years of age. To ensure we continue to achieve this goal we are currently seeking a Support
Worker to work 3 weekends in 6.
Provide support to individuals with Autism in all aspects of daily living
Undertake household duties, including cooking, washing and ironing
Complete the administration requirements of the position
Fulfil other duties as directed by the Coordinator
Full weekend (4 pm Friday to 6 pm Sunday – a total of 50 hours)
3 weekends in 6
For these positions previous experience is highly regarded and further on the job training will be provided.
You must have a current clean full C class driver’s licence, be willing to obtain a Basic First Aid Certificate,
National Police Clearance and a Working with Children’s check.
