Munda Biddi Mountain Bike Challenge
Posted on: 08/12/2011
Raising awareness as well as funds for Autism and our Association took one of our Early Intervention fathers, Daniel Schmid (pictured middle right with our Executive Manager of Business Operations, Paul Baird and Occupational Therapist, Stacey Dearden), on a week long journey on his mountain bike along the challenging Munda Biddi trail, from Mundairing to Collie and back.
Daniel said the ride was challenging, fun and rewarding in so many ways, "The only thing I can say is that if you ever thought of doing something like this, do it, you won't be disappointed."
You can see a few of Daniels pictures he took along the way here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwwVzZ6Y7b0.
Daniel raised a generous $5,830.00.
On behalf of the Autism Association of Western Australia we would like to express our sincere thanks for raising awareness as well as funds for Autism. We are so grateful to have such wonderful support in our community.
Daniel would like to thank all those who supported him and donated to his cause, "Thank you so much for your generous donations. Thanks to all of you, a dream of mine has come true. It means so much to me personally, as well as to Anna, my wife and Matthew. Times can be tough, but things like this can brighten up a person's life incredibly. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
