KEY AIMS

This seminar will provide you with the up to date information about:

  • The characteristics of Autism that may impact on behaviour
  • The importance of person-centred approaches
  • A framework for Positive Behaviour Support
  • Strategies to identify and problem solve behavioural difficulties that may arise in everyday life
  • Best practice approaches to managing challenging incidents

FURTHER INFORMATION

Participants will be assisted to make the connection between theory and practice to enhance their ability to support people with Autism.

INTENDED PARTICIPANTS

Direct care staff and Coordinators working with people with Autism.

  • Morning tea and light lunch included
  • Registrations from 8:30am - 9:15am
  • Seminars will commence at 9:30am sharp and finish at 3:30pm
