WORKING WITH CHILDREN WITH AUTISM:

A workshop explaining the nature of Autism. The participants will be assisted to identify communication, socialization and behavioural difficulties. The workshop explores teaching and learning strategies and accommodations to meet the needs of the student with Autism at Primary School. Appropriate Positive Behaviour Support strategies for the Primary School setting will be addressed.

INTENDED PARTICIPANTS:

Primary School teachers, Special Needs teachers, Learning Support Teachers, Education Assistants, School Leaders

OTHER:

• Morning tea and light lunch included
• Registrations from 8.30am - 9.15am.
• Seminars will commence at 9.30am sharp and finish at 3.30pm.
• Child Care is NOT provided
