FaHCSIA Funding Resources
Eligible children (0-6years old) newly diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder have access to $12000 of FaHCSIA funding until their 7th birthday as part of the Helping Children with Autism package.
Families are able to use up to 35% ($2,100) per financial year to purchase resources , provided the resources are assessed by the child's early intervention service provider as being integral to a child's therapy and forms part of the therapy program.
The Autism Association has published a number of great books and resources to focus on the strategies used for early intervention for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The books are full of easy-to-read information, as well as practical strategies and example visual supports and worksheets and focus on following the child's lead, giving positive praise, using play to develop communication and building independence.
We are pleased to offer a special discounted package of books that can be purchased with FaHCSIA funding.
To take advantage of this special offer, please complete the PDF order form attached at the bottom of this page, attach a copy of the Letter of Introduction and the recommendation from the service provider; FaHCSIA consent form (below) and payment, send it to the Autism Association and the package of books and resources will be mailed to you.
