Autism: What are the Early Indicators?

April 30 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Early Indicators workshops are for Community Health and Family Professionals including Community Health Nurses, Social Workers, Community Allied Health Professionals, Local Coordinators, NDIS Planners, Early Childhood Educators, and Teachers.

What role can people who work with children play in supporting early diagnosis and intervention?

It is estimated that 1 in 100 people in Australia have Autism; however, a majority are not diagnosed until they are 3 years old – more than a year after they can be reliably diagnosed and receive life-changing intervention!

This information session will help participants:

  • Identify the early signs of Autism
  • Understand diagnostic and intervention pathways
  • Support families of children showing signs of Autism
  • Learn about services and family supports offered by the Autism Association of WA and referral pathways

Cost to attend

These workshops are free and made possible thanks to Telethon.
