Autism: What are the Early Indicators? | Shenton Park | 30/10/2020

October 30 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

| No cost

What are the early indicators of Autism? What role can parents and people who work with children play in supporting early diagnosis and intervention?

An estimated 1 in 100 children have Autism Spectrum Disorder, however a majority are not diagnosed until they are three years old – more than a year after they can be reliably diagnosed and receive life-changing intervention!

This information session will help participants:

  • Identify the early signs of Autism
  • Understand diagnostic and intervention pathways
  • Develop strategies to support parents and facilitate early learning for their child
  • Learn about services and family support offered by the Autism Association, and referral pathways

Our Autism: What are the Early Indicators? workshops are FREE workshops for Community Health and Family Professionals, including Community Health Nurses, Social Workers, Community Allied Health Professional, Local Coordinators, NDIS Planners, Childcare Workers, and Teachers
