Early Days MyTime session – Understanding Behaviour – 2 part workshop | Gosnells | 02/11/2020 and 16/11/2020

November 2 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

| No cost

Please note, this workshop will occur across two sessions, attendance at both is recommended.

The Early Days Workshops are provided free to families and carers (unpaid) of children aged 0 to 6 years with (or who may have) Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We recommend attending an introductory session such Early Days: My Child and Autism prior to attending other topics.

The Early Days Understanding Behaviour workshop focuses on helping parents and carers (unpaid) manage difficult behaviour in children aged 0 to 6 years with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Families of children with ASD often report high levels of stress and difficult behaviour can be one reason for this. Difficult behaviour can also interfere with the child’s development and learning.

This workshop will cover the following topics:

  • Understanding your child’s behaviour
  • Teaching your child a new, more functional behaviour
  • Developing techniques to promote positive behaviour

This session will be run alongside the My Time Parent Group. Play leaders will be available to supervise children aged 6 and under, please confirm whether you will have children with you on the day. You can find out more about the My Time groups here: https://www.autism.org.au/our-services/diagnosis/parent-support-training/parent-coffee-groups/
