Early Days Understanding Behaviour | 14/12/2017 | Bunbury

December 14, 2017 @ 9:30 am - 2:30 pm

| Free

Intended Participants: Parents/Relatives of children aged 0-6 years

To protect the privacy of our families, this workshop is open to family members only. Paid Carers and other Professionals are invited to attend the other workshops we have on offer.

The Understanding Behaviour workshop focuses on helping parents and carers manage difficult behaviour in children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Families of children with an ASD often report high levels of stress and difficult behaviour can be one reason for this. Difficult behaviour can also interfere with the child’s development and learning. This workshop will cover the following topics:

  • Understanding your child’s behaviour
  • Teaching your child a new, more functional behaviour
  • Developing techniques to promote positive behaviour
