Steps to Literacy – Support the Learning of Reading, Writing and Spelling | 27/03/2018

March 27 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

| Free - $75.00

Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) don’t always develop early literacy skills in the same way or at the same rate as other students. Some children with ASD experience challenges with learning to read, spell and write. In this workshop, we will discuss some myths and misconceptions around learning, explore the possible challenges experienced by children with Autism and suggest some practical strategies for improving literacy outcomes.

Registration

If you are currently a client of The Autism Association of WA and have a key therapist, payment will be directly deducted from your child’s funding package. For further information please discuss with your key therapist.

For other families, we have kept costs to a minimum which is $50 per person or $75 for a couple.

If your child is currently on our waiting list for services and is not currently accessing any services with another therapy provider then you may be able to access this training at no cost – please email seminars@autism.org.au  for more information.
