Supporting Alternative and Augmentative Communication

In this workshop you will learn about Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC), the benefits of using AAC for people with Autism, and how you can support an AAC user to communicate more autonomously.
In this workshop we will explore:
- What AAC is and why it is important
- AAC tools and approaches
- Strategies for you to support an AAC user to communicate more autonomously
Intended participants:
This workshop is for parents and communication partners of individuals with Autism of all ages that use AAC.
Cost to attend:
- Families currently receiving services will be charged for 2 hours of Parent and Carer Training in accordance with your Service Agreement.

As per your Service Agreement a guest can attend with you, if you would like to bring a guest, please RSVP for 2 tickets. However, you will only be charged once.
- Families who are not currently accessing services through the Autism Association You are welcome to access any of these training opportunities by purchasing a ticket. You can purchase your ticket to attend at the bottom of this page for $175 incl. GST.
