Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), commonly referred to as Autism, affects 1 in 70 people in Australia. Chances are you have already met or are likely to meet someone with Autism in your community. This presentation provides general information to help community members better understand what Autism is, what it means for the individual and ways in which to help them feel included and accepted. Families are welcome to attend! 

In this presentation we will explore: 

• The key characteristics and impacts of Autism
• Strategies to promote community inclusion and participation
• The range of services offered by the Autism Association of Western Australia
