Supporting Positive Behaviour Change: Finding The Meaning In Behaviour | 01/05/2021

Autism Association of WA – Shenton Park, 215 Stubbs Tce

Behaviour is how we act and react to everyday environments and situations. We all engage in behaviour that challenges others at times, its part of being a person. In some cases though, people develop behaviours that persist, interfering with their day-to-day experiences, affecting their relationships and impacting their quality of life. A positive and pro-active approach includes considering the reasons for the person’s behaviour so that we can work out how to help make things better for them.

As young people transition from primary school to high school, these ‘unwritten rules’ become more complex.
