Another Fantastic Regional Intensive Therapy Week!

“Liam is always more confident and happy after attending the holiday program. It has been a fantastic start to the year for the whole family” – written by Heather, mother to Liam.

What a fantastic week, we had 24 families join us from all over WA for our Regional Intensive Therapy Program. We loved meeting some new families and welcoming back families returning, some who were coming back for the 3rd or 4th time.

In this jam-packed 5 days, children and adolescents participated in group and individual therapy sessions with our specialist regional therapy team of speech pathologists, occupational therapists, psychologists and specialist teachers.

A key focus for the week was for families and the regional team to work together to develop a plan to ensure the new strategies, ideas and skills learnt are generalised to their home communities.

Throughout the week, parents and carers also have access to a variety of group and individuals workshops and events developed specifically for families living in regional areas.

We were thrilled to run our first Social Adventurer social skills program for adolescents with therapy activities from our Explorer and Koder Club curriculum.

It’s been a wonderful week, and we wanted to wish everyone all the best for the start to the school year.

We are looking forward to linking up with families via zoom as well as seeing everyone again in July!
