Did you know that Minecraft is the bestselling video game of all time?
We didn’t, but all the gaming lovers who attended the quiz night at Palace Arcade certainly did! It was a night for those who were masters of the gaming world and those who simply love a quiz. Palace Arcade was the place to be for old school arcade games, pizza, and defeating the quiz master.
The night began and people arrived, everyone took a trip back down memory lane, heading straight for the old arcade games like Q-Bert and Pac-Man.
After everyone got their arcade fix, the quiz master began putting everyone’s knowledge to the test, asking questions from the days of old-school games, to the era of the Xbox, then jumping forward to the latest release from PlayStation 5. It was a tight competition between each team of experts who bonded over their love of games. While the quiz took place, everyone sat down to enjoy the ginormous pizzas, or the other yummy food Palace Arcade had on offer.
Once the first round wrapped up, we had a paper aeroplane competition, where each team faced off. While some planes went off course over the bar, some made the distance, and some unfortunately flew into the wall. In the end there was a clear winner who scored a prize.
After the second round of the quiz finished and the winners were announced, each winner won a fantastic array of donated prizes from generous local businesses and adults who access services with us. These goodies were:
- West Coast Eagles signed poster
- Fremantle Dockers signed Guernsey
- Suzie Endersbee original Artwork
- A sketch workshop voucher from Open Hands Creative
- Gift hamper from Lycopodium
- Farmer Jack’s vouchers
- Candles from WabiSabi
- Adrenaline Vault indoor rock-climbing vouchers
- Rottnest Express voucher
In the end everyone was a winner, leaving the night with great memories, full bellies, and even some with new friends made! Thank you to Palace Arcade and to all the businesses who kindly donated prizes for the night.
