Following diagnosis, or during the diagnostic process, families and carers can contact an Autism Advisor for information, support and to check your child’s eligibility for government funding. Access to an Autism Advisor is free.
The Autism Advisor will organise a time for you to meet to discuss funding and services. Appointments can take place at any of our offices in Shenton Park, Midland, Fremantle or Joondalup. Alternative arrangements can be made if required, please contact us to discuss.
For families living in regional and remote areas appointments are conducted over the phone or during one of the Autism Advisor’s outreach visits throughout the year.
The Autism Advisor Program is funded by the Department of Social Services under the Helping Children with Autism package.Contact us to make an appointment
My Advisor was amazing and had so much patience explaining everything. We had no idea about the funding, where it came from, how to get it, or how it was to be used. She explained everything so that we could understand exactly what steps needed to be taken from that point on. After the stress of the diagnosis, it was nice to deal with someone so knowledgeable, friendly and efficient.
My Advisor was so kind and really empathetic. It’s was a subject I knew nothing about so her clear explanations and kindness made a huge difference to my process. It really demystified everything and helped me to feel confident about our next steps.
