Access Services Remotely During COVID -19 restrictions:
It is very important to us that during these challenging times, we continue to support you with exceptional therapy services for you and your family. We understand that currently not everyone will be able to attend our centres, or may prefer to have their supports completed from the comfort of their own home utilising our TeleTherapy service.
TeleTherapy will allow our highly trained therapy team to complete assessment, therapy interventions, parent training and consultation support using the online platform “Zoom”. This was we can minimise any risk of spread via physical contact. There is established and growing evidence for the effectiveness of Teletherapy and this allows us to continue to support your family during this time.
How do I make a TeleTherapy Appointment?
TeleTherapy is available with all of our therapists on the School Age team – please contact your key therapist to get your sessions booked in ongoing.
Just like any other appointment, you will receive a text message reminder the day before your session. When it is time for your appointment you just need to have your smartphone, tablet or laptop ready. Your therapist will email you a link which you can open to start your session.
If you are not currently accessing therapy with us, please contact our Autism Service Advisors on (08) 9489 8900.
What service will I receive?
Your therapist will work with you to identify the best ways to utilise this support for your family. A large range of therapy options can be delivered through Telehealth including:
- Therapy sessions
- Consultation and training with you or your key support people
- Provision of resources
