The Social Adventurer Group Programs

Our highly popular small-group therapy programs are designed for children and teenagers to develop social skills.


The following group programs are designed to develop social skills in a welcoming and encouraging way. Each child or teenager is matched to a group according to his or her goals and individual needs. Groups are run after school, over an 8-week program, between 3.30pm and 5.30pm across seven different locations in the Perth metro area.

Play Based Social Skills Group for children aged 6−11 years.

The Explorers

Social Thinking Skills Group for children aged 6−11 years.

Discovery Kitchen

Social Skills Cooking Program for teenagers aged 12−17 years.

Expressions of Interest for Terms 3 and 4 are now closed.

For those families who have expressed interest; as part of the application process, you may receive a follow-up phone call based on the information provided in your answers. All participants are required to attend a face-to-face interview with the Program Managers – time and date to be confirmed.

NEW Koder Club

ARE YOU:
• Interested in coding?
• Aged 12 -17?
• Keen to build social connections with your peers?
• Accessing mainstream school and receiving services from the Autism Association?  

 

Then Koder Club might be for you! We are running an exciting new pilot social club for teens with Autism – the Koding Club, funded by Telethon. 

 

The Koder Club will allow teens to:
• Meet new people
• Make new friends
• Be a part of an inclusive community for teens with autism through coding
• Explore coding with Scratch, Python, Html & CSS

 

Days and Locations: 

Term 3 dates to be confirmed closer to the time. 

Gosnells: Mondays (3:30pm – 5:00pm)
Joondalup: Mondays (3:30pm – 5:00pm)
Fremantle: Tuesdays (3:30pm – 5:00pm)
Shenton Park: Thursdays (3:30pm – 5:00pm)
