Short breaks are provided in a number of homes throughout the metropolitan area. Your child will be supported by caring and experienced staff members who have been trained specifically around the needs of children with Autism.
Children are grouped together based on their age and interests. Usually, your child will be grouped with the same three or four children each time, where possible. This often provides an additional opportunity to form friendships and informal links with people outside your family and school.Contact us today
The focus of the service is to provide a fun time in an environment that is comfortable and predictable with lots of choice for each person. This allows you to make plans in the knowledge that your child is happy and well cared for. The children receive individual attention with enjoyable activities planned on the basis of their own likes and dislikes. Dietary preferences are catered for and we make sure that there is a range of choices available. Each respite experience is planned to create positive associations and maximise the likelihood that the child will want to return.
