2 day Teen Sports Academy

During this 2 day sports program participants will have the opportunity to try a number of different sports. Alongside this we will also support participants to link in with local community sports programs based on their academy experiences.

The Sports Academy will be facilitated by our Therapy team in addition to volunteer specialist sports coaches and will run across 2 locations.

Details 

  • Where and when:
    • Newman College, Churchlands – Thursday, 30th September and Friday, 1st October
    • Baldivis Secondary College – Thursday, 30th September and Friday, 1st October
  • Time: 9:30am – 3:00pm each day
  • Who: Teens with a diagnosis of Autism in school years 7 to 12. 
  • No cost to attend!

Children’s Sports Academy

During the next school holidays we will be offering a  2 day sports program for primary school children! Alongside this we will also support participants to link in with local community sports programs based on their academy experiences.

The Sports Academy will be facilitated by our Therapy team in addition to volunteer specialist sports coaches.

    • Newman College, Churchlands – Thursday, 7th October and Friday, 8th October
    • Guildford Grammar School, Guildford – Thursday, 7th October and Friday, 8th October
  • Time: 9:30am – 3:00pm 
  • Who: Children with a diagnosis of Autism in school years 4 to 6. 
  • No cost to attend!

Medical Information

Please note that the Autism Association of WA staff do not administer routine medication. Please note, if your child is taking any medication they will need an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) as prescribed by your doctor or medical practitioner. This includes Ventolin puffers, EpiPen and any oral medication.
