Arts for Autism Competition

In honour of International World Autism Awareness Week and our collaboration with the Art Gallery of WA, the Autism Association of WA is excited to announce our Arts for Autism competition!

Arts for Autism is a celebration of neurodiversity and creativity in the Western Australian community. The competition is now open to Western Australian artists aged 16 years and above, with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Selected works will be shown at the Art Gallery of Western Australia at a private launch event later in the year (date to be confirmed). The overall winner will be selected by the Art Gallery of Western Australia CEO and Director, Colin Walker. There will also be a People’s Choice Award selected on the night. Please note that by participating in this competition, all artists selected for display consent to their works being reproduced by print and electronic media for advertising and promotional purposes.

The winning artworks will be displayed at the Autism Association of WA Head Office in Shenton Park for approximately two weeks after the launch event. Selected works will also be displayed on the Autism Association of WA website, Intranet and newsletters. Artists will also have the opportunity to sell their work.
